New children’s playground for the youngest citizens in Vrela Ribnicka settlement

111 IGRALISTEThe NGO Mladi Roma - Herceg Novi, a partner organization in the implementation of the ROMACTED programme for Montenegro, provided full funds for construction through this project, and the capital Podgorica, through the Capital Secretariat for Social Welfare will allocate another 1,500 euros for additional landscaping.

The representative of the Council of Europe, Alessandro Botta, pointed out on this occasion that this is one of the ways to respond to the current situation with the COVID19 virus.

This is a small contribution from the Council of Europe within the ROMACTED programme funded by the European Commission and implemented by the NGO Young Roma, which wants to respond to the crisis with COVID 19 among the Roma community in Montenegro: in addition to the distribution of hygiene and food packages, we wanted to contribute to the improvement of living conditions in Konik, starting with common areas intended for the youngest. We thank the Capital City of Podgorica for their cooperation and we hope that we will continue to help the Roma population in Podgorica and Montenegro, said Botta.
