Second regional meeting held in the framework of the project "Unifying the voices for Ending Violence against Women"

Representatives of NGO Young Roma attended the Second Regional meeting within the project "Unifying the voices for Ending Violence against Women", held in Belgrade from 15-16 April 2019. Apart from our organization, the meeting was also attended by representatives of other organizations that are part of the project: Roma Women's Center Bibija from Serbia, NGO Luludi from North Macedonia and NGO Otaharin from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

At the meeting, organizations were given guidelines regarding writing of individual national reports on the application of the Istanbul and CEDAW conventions. Organisations agreed on the form of reports and deadlines for delivering them. Also, we discussed about the Regional Conference, at which all national reports will be presented, together with a comprehensive, regional report on women from Roma population and the application of these two conventions in the countries covered by the project.

The project „Unifying the voices for Ending Violence against Women“ is part of the regional programme „Implementing Norms, Changing Minds: Ending Violence against Women in the Western Balkans and Turkey“, implemented by UN Women and supported by European Union, and NGO Young Roma is national partner organization for Montenegro.
