Training within the project "Unifying the voices for Ending Violence against Women"

Training within the project "Unifying the voices for Ending Violence against Women" was held from 13th to 15th February at Hotel Palas in Petrovac. The training was attended by non-governmental organizations that are members of the Coalition, which are NGO "Center for Women's Rights", NGO "Center for Roma Initiatives", NGO "Montenegrin Women's Lobby", Women's RE Network "Prva" and NGO Mladiinfo Montenegro. The training was attended by 19 participants (women), and the trainers were Maja Raičević and Fana Delija.

During the training, the participants received information of importance for women coming from the Roma community and topics related to their rights. Topics covered by the training included arranged child marriages, discrimination against women through practical examples, gender-based violence, and participants also had the opportunity to hear and train to monitor the implementation of the Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence and CEDAW Convention in Montenegro, after which they will write reports on the application of these documents in our country.
